EU Safety Gate · Report-2009-1
Unknown · Oil lamps - Classic Kerosene Lamp
The products pose a chemical risk because: - in the oil lamp KL-4 COLORS the wick guard does not prevent access to the wick by small children; - in the lamp L-888 HG the following irregularities were detected: - the wick cover comes loose while being lifted or rotated at 180°, so part of the lamp may be broken or fractured, - the wick guard does not prevent access to the wick by small children as it can be easily opened in one movement, - the lamp is not leak-proof. This could lead small children to drink out of unsecured oil lamps. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 14059.
