The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the luminaire is not sufficiently mechanically strong, in that it did not pass the spring-driven apparatus test, leaving live components accessible after the test,- the cable incorporated in the chain has characteristics inferior to those of the standard cable specified in the standard and the nominal section of the conductors, at 0.10 mm², is less than the 0.50 mm² required by the standard,- the cable does not pass the tensile test,- the length of the cable between the plug and the first bulb, at 0.70 metres, is less than the 1.50 metres required by the standard, - there is no guaranteed protection against direct access to live components,- in not bearing the safety marks and instructions required by the standard. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
