EU Safety Gate · Report-2008-4

Moon · Table lamp "Present Light" in the shape of a star

The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the luminaire has no cord anchorage and the mains cables conductors are therefore insufficiently protected against tension and twisting. Nor does the mains switch have any strain relief, - the nominal cross-section of the mains cable is less than 0.5 mm² (the required measurement is 0.75mm²), which does not provide sufficient mechanical strength,- wires with basic insulation can be touched where they enter the lamp housing,- all inscriptions required by the standard, such as the manufacturer's data, the rated voltage, the Protection Class II symbol, the type or order number and the rated power of the bulb are missing. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and with the relevant European standard EN 60598.
