The notified products pose a risk of:- electric shock since the basic insulated parts (SELV lampholder connected to 230V and the wires connected to the lampholder), and the pins of the light source are accessible;- fire because the consumer will presumably use a bi-pin SELV(-Safety of Extra Low Voltage -) halogen lamp designed for SELV lampholder and connect it to the mains power supply (230V). In addition, the symbols indicating the rated voltage and the classification are missing from the data plate. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.

Product description

The metal-covered lights include a silver metal frame, a GX5.3 ceramic lampholder for connecting bi-pin SELV halogen lamps. A terminal block was supplied with the MS-101 type luminaire. This type cannot be adjusted, while the MS-01XSY type can be adjusted in approx. 30°. Main parts of product: GX5.3 lampholder ("DX-106 25V 4A VDE CE"), terminal block ("W6 380V N D FI UL CE").
