The product poses a risk of electric shock because under certain circumstances, when a force is applied to the hair straightener at a particular angle, the plate securing the mains cable entry can be weakened and break allowing the cable to become detached from the appliance. Two complaints have been received. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive.
