EU Safety Gate · Report-2009-6
Jia Da · Plasma lamp
The product poses a risk of electric shock because: - the cross-section area of the cord is too small (<0.2mm2 instead of 0.5mm2), - there is no cord anchorage in the switch or in the lap, - the cover of the printed circuit board is made of flexible insulation material and fixed with glue which can easily be removed, - the glued surface can be detached when moving the lamp, thus causing live parts to be accessible. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
