The cover of the desk-lamp is made of metal. The base part includes an electronic switch. The GX5.35 type ceramic lampholder is suitable for inserting a bi-pin halogen lamp operated from extra low voltage, however the luminaire includes a bi-pin halogen lamp operated from the mains supply.
