The product poses: - a chemical risk because the tubes are placed in an open container, such as an ordinary glass, bottle or vase, which is filled with colourless lamp oil. The product is not fitted with a wick-guard or a cover to prevent small children from gaining access to the wick. This could lead to a risk of lung damage if children then swallow or ingest the lamp oil, - a risk of fire and burns if lighted wicks are placed in an open container which contains a flammable fluid. If the container is knocked over the fluid will spill out and the wicks could start a fire within seconds. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 14059.

The lamp is comprised of a set of 3 stainless steel tubes with a wick inside each tube and a small glass. The tubes are placed in an ordinary glass, bottle or vase which is filled with lamp oil.
