SUZUKI · Passenger car - DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) system in Suzuki Grand Vitara

This vehicle poses a risk of injuries due to a possible loss of power. The affected vehicles may pose a potential risk of damage to DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) system. Due to the improper design of the intercooler and the intercooler inlet hose, the compressed air could leak and cause the improper ratio of air/fuel mixture. After certain period of usage, the above condition may cause excessive deposition of carbon particulate in DPF that could result in the overheating or melting of DPF and damage due to heat. In this case the warning lights on drivers control panel will illuminate and if the vehicle will not be driven to an authorised repair, loss of power will happen.
