This product poses a serious risk of injuries because :- the way of putting the screw on with the plastic slat is inadequate, so that the screw becomes less effective when the seat is used. This may result in a loss of stability of the seat and falling of the child;- the dimensions of the seat are inappropriate: the bicycle back seat should have at least a 400 mm high backrest, while the Kitty bike has only 335 mm. This unconformity can lead to head and neck injuries;- insufficient capacity - during tests the backrest of the seat deforms and breaks and sharp edges become accessible;- the clamping screw in the seat is placed between child’s legs and sticks out over the seat which can cause injuries;- the clamping screw has insufficient protection against loosening which can result in the falling of a child and driver of the bicycle. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 14344.

Product description

It is a bike seat for children up to 7 years old and weight up to 22 kg. The seat is intended to be installed in the back of a bicycle. The seat is made of dark blue coloured plastic. At the back of the seat there are marks: “b” (from Bellelli), "date of production 5/05", “TÜV Product set” and pictograms “not to leave the child in a seat on the bike” and “use the helmet while being carrying in a bike seat”.
