Sushito Kettle · Kettle
The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- applying the test voltage between active and accessible parts of the kettle led to breakdown of the heating element at approx. 2 000 V,- the heating element has only basic insulation and is not linked to an earth wire. The kettle therefore does not come under protection Class I, which requires an earth wire, or Class II, where protection against electric shock is provided by double or reinforced insulation, - the leakage current was measured at >0.75mA,- the kettle stand is not fitted with a tension relief device,- the opening for mains lead-in has sharp edges ,- the instructions are not in German and the CE mark is missing. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
