The product poses a chemical risk because the textile toy contains formaldehyde 90 mg/kg (limit 30mg/kg). Formaldehyde is absorbed rapidly and can cause irritation, allergic reactions and damage to mucous membranes. It may damage the central nervous system, liver and kidneys. It is a mutagenic substance and has been classified as a probable human carcinogen.
