AQUAEL · Aquarium set containing cover with lamp

The product poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- the aquarium lamp has to low ingress protection against water;- the aquarium lamp is labelled as having IP23 protection (rainproof). IP23 is not permissible for aquarium lamps, which must have at least IPX4 protection (splashproof) if they are permanently fixed to the aquarium. If they are not permanently fixed, the level of protection must be as high as IPX7 (waterproof);- the lamp can fall into the water-filled tank and water can penetrate into the lamp coming into contact with live components, thus creating a risk of electric shock. This product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard.
