EU Safety Gate · Report-2009-19
Feiyu · Plug for non-heating appliances
The product poses a risk of electric shock because: - the creepage gap and air gap between the earthing and live components, measuring only 2.6 mm, is too small (minimum gap required is 4 mm), - the strain relief device, which is intended only for sockets and not for plugs, is faulty, - the appliance's plug-and-socket connection is not mechanically stable. After being put back together following connection to a mains lead, the two parts of the housing come apart, exposing live components and thus presenting a risk of electric shock. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 60320.
