EU Safety Gate · Report-2011-029
Honda · Passenger car "Accord"
The product poses a risk of injuries because, due to an inappropriate software setting of the Engine Control Unit, the oil level can increase too much in the engine. There is a possibility that some engine oil may enter the combustion chamber during driving. If this happens the vehicle may not decelerate as intended when the throttle pedal is released. If the clutch is disengaged or neutral is selected, the engine may continue to run even if the ignition switch is turned off. 18 incidents reported
