The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the mains supply cable is insulated with PVC instead of the standard polychloroprene,- the cable insulation can be damaged and the live parts of cable can become accessible,- in case of outdoor use the water can come into the lampshade, and the socket-outlet where live parts can be found. Therefore electric shock may occur if the user touches the wet lampshade or plug. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
