The alternator cable harness may rub against the oil return pipe from the turbo and, in certain cases, cause a short circuit in the electrical system. There is also a risk that the cable harness might abrade against sharp edges at the alternator. A short circuit in the electrical system can lead to the risk of fire or explosion.
