Imperial / Miele ‘CC’ Decalcifier · Decalcifier
- although this product is classified as corrosive, it is labelled as irritant only. Therefore, consumers are not informed about the true risks posed by the product. - about half of the closing caps are leaking. It is therefore likely that consumers have skin contact with the fluid and inhale the vapour. It is also not unlikely that consumers contaminate their fingers and consequently touch their eyes. Skin contact will cause burns, inhalation may cause irritation of the airways, and eye contact may cause injuries. The product poses a chemical risk because it contains approximately 25% of formic acid and a small amount of 2-butyn-1,4-diol.
