The product represents a serious risk of electric shock given that the sharp edges over which the flex passes may abrade the insulating sheath of the flex, and that the luminaire is not fitted with a sleeve made of resistant and insulating material. Furthermore, the safety instructions that would ensure safe use are absent. This product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.

Product description
The lamp has a structure of black metal, sides made of plastic material decorated with “ethnic” motifs, and is finished off with a brown cord. Text is printed on and die-cut into the flex, plug and switch. The packaging is a blue and yellow cardboard box bearing the following text: "Vidal, table lamp with bulb (19749), ref 0250782. CE".
