The products pose a chemical risk because they contain Primary Aromatic Amines which are a potential carcinogen. The levels are in excess of the amount permitted under Directive 2002/72/EC on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs (0.01 mg/kg). Only products from one source are affected but the recall relates to all the utensils.
