EU Safety Gate · Report-2007-34
ENGINE Alpena · Bicycle ENGINE Alpena MTB 24
The product poses a risk of injuries because:- the size of the brake lever does not enable its safety grip and stopping the bicycle. It may result in a dangerous fall, - all brake cables are made in a such manner, that their caps do not withstand the required force. After detaching, there is a risk of painful stings by unprotected cables, - spokes close to a change-speed on the rear wheel are not guarded. If incorrectly changing the gear, there is a risk of stopping wheel rotation due to the cross-over of the spokes with the chain. This product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 14765.
