The product poses a chemical risk because the doll's face contains 25% by weight of bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), 3,6% of di-'isonyl' phthalate (DINP), while the pony contains 23% of bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). According to the REACH Regulation the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited in toys or childcare articles that can be placed in the mouth by children. In addition, the doll's yellow plastic trousers contain 370 mg/kg of lead, exceeding the maximum permitted level for toys of 90 mg/kg. The product does not comply with the Toys Safety Directive and with the relevant European standard EN 71-3.
