EU Safety Gate · Report-2008-37
HONDA · Passenger cars - Handbrake lever
The product poses a risk of injuries because of incorrect spot welding of the handbrake lever assembly which may cause internal separation of the guide plates. This will prevent correct tension being applied to the brake cables when the handbrake is engaged. When the handbrake is applied there is a small risk that the handbrake may not function correctly and fail to hold the vehicle securely on a slope.
