The product poses a risk of fire because:- the distance between the protective contacts was too small in four of the five test samples,- in the thermal test, the socket plate caught fire and the temperature of the contacts rose by more than 150K,- in the heat-resistance test, the socket cover became distorted so that it could no longer provide protection against spray and the socket would cease to be suitable for use out of doors. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive.
