EU Safety Gate · Report-2008-47
Gandia blasco · Folding stool for outdoor use
The product poses a risk of injuries and cuts because: - sharp points and edges were noted on the corners of the aluminium structure and on the lower part of the seat, - sharp edges were found in the area where the transverse tube is inserted into the folding area, - the product has a safety catch under the seat. If this catch is not engaged correctly, or should it move while the item is in use, there is a high probability that the stool would collapse if a user tried to move it with both hands. In addition, there are no instructions for the use of the safety catch or any indication on the model that it exists. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 581, EN 14183 and EN 1022. One incident reported.
