The mains power supply unit has inadequately sized pins and poses a risk of fire and electric shock because: (a) damage could be caused to the socket, with the risk of overheating or arcing within the socket; (b) the mechanical connections between the base and the cover of the power supply unit suffer undue strain when inserted into, or removed from, a socket. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant national standard BS 1363.
