EU Safety Gate · Report-2008-51

Unknown · Candles

The product poses a health risk due to: - the possibility of spilling the melted jelly substance onto the skin, which would cause scalding and reddening, - the established discrepancy of the product in the glass containers with other paraffin products, i.e. its specific nature and the inability to identify it, - the smell of burning candles because the content of the jelly substance has not been identified – the smell is not typical of semi-refined paraffin wax and is not in conformity with other paraffin and wax products. Incidents reported.
