The product poses a risk of fire because:- the supply cord is poorly terminated which could lead to overheating and arcing;- there is inadequate clearance between live parts of different polarity and a short circuit could occur;- it does not have an adequate means of cord anchorage and the supply cord connections could fail. Two incidents reported. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.

Product description
Electrical, illuminated decoration consisting of a clear plastic casing, similar in appearance to a small domestic aquarium, with a plastic silver base and top. Inside the casing is a printed “aquarium” scene consisting of various brightly coloured tropical fish on a generally blue background with pictures of aquarium plants. The mains operated product contains a motor and lamp. The motor rotates the “aquarium” scene when the power is turned on.
