The products pose a risk of choking because the imitation fruit can be easily detached and could be placed in the mouth and swallowed by children, especially small children who may confuse them with real fruit. The products do not comply with the Directive 87/357/EEC on products which, appearing to be other than they are, endanger the health or safety of consumers.

Product description
Food-imitating products made of polystyrene in the form of a sugar-coated apple in miniature, in yellow and red colours; a cherry in red colour; a pear in miniature, in yellow and red colours. The fruits are attached to wires imitating stems. They are sold in packaging with a cardboard base, a transparent plastic front with pictures of a Christmas tree and a candy cane. There is a label with the inscription Kaufland Bulgaria. Each package contains 16 apples. On the back of the packaging there is a label with inscriptions in seven languages, including Bulgarian and the barcode.
