The plug indicates that it is fitted with a 13 amp fuse but the lead is capable of carrying a maximum of 6 amps. The fuse link and/or the lead could therefore fail if the product was used with a domestic appliance, such as a kettle. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant national standard.

An unpackaged mains lead with a plug fitted with a 13 amp fuse; used for powering a variety of electrical appliances. The plug is marked with the letters STGS and KN5502/KM5502 and a mark resembling the BS Kite mark.
