EU Safety Gate · Report-2017-021
Hm · Niño Murciélago ('Bat child')
The plastic bag of the packaging is too thin: If a child plays with the packaging, the plastic can cover the mouth and nose, causing the child to suffocate. Also, the fibrous stuffing material is easily accessible due to the weakness of certain seams; this could cause choking if put in the mouth by children. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.
