EU Safety Gate · Report-2022-29
Mercedes-Benz · Vito, V-Class
The controllable coolant pump may have a leak between the coolant and vacuum circuit via negative pressure and allow coolant to enter it. If the electric switchover valves are exposed to coolant, a continuous increase in the component part temperature may occur and cause fire. In addition, the brake booster may become damaged over time and reduce brake performance that could lead to an accident. The product does not comply with the requirements laid down in the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
