EU Safety Gate · Report-2020-32
FUSION INK · Shamrock
The product contains an excessive amount of cadmium (measured value: 0.65 ppm). Cadmium is harmful to human health because it accumulates in the body, can damage the kidneys and bones and it may cause cancer. Additionally, it contains benzisothiazolinone (measured value: 0,007 %), which is not allowed in cosmetic products, and, according to the list of ingredients, the colourant pigment yellow 14 (CI 21095), which releases the aromatic amine 3,3'-dichlorobenzidine. This aromatic amine is skin sensitiser and may also cause cancer. Benzisothiazolinone is a skin sensitiser and triggers allergic reactions or contact dermatitis. The Council of Europe Resolution ResAP (2008)1 on requirements and criteria for the safety of tattoos and permanent make-up, recommends that the levels of cadmium do not exceed 0,2 ppm, that aromatic amines with carcinogenic mutagenic, reprotoxic or sensitising properties should neither be present nor released from azo-colourants, and that substances forbidden in the Cosmetic Products Regulation are not used.
