The metal housing of the kettle is only separated from the active heating element with basic insulation. The mains lead has no protective conductor. If the basic insulation fails, the metal housing of the kettle may become live, and the user may receive an electric shock. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive nor with the European standards EN 60335-1 and EN 60335-2-15.
