The metal housing parts of the kettle is only separated from the active heating element with basic insulation and the mains lead has no protective conductor. If the basic insulation or the heat protection device fails, the metal housing parts of the kettle may become live, and the user may receive an electric shock. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive nor with the European standard EN 60335.
