There is no locking mechanism for the bars so children may be able to remove them. If they try to get out of the cot when only one of the bars has been removed, there is a risk that the head or chest will become stuck which could lead to injuries or strangulation. The gap between the ends of the mattress base and the ends of the cot also poses a risk of entrapment of limbs. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 716-1.
