When water penetrates the basic control unit, different electrical functions may be impaired, such as lights and central locking could malfunction, the steering and braking assistance may fail and the engine might stall. Moreover, this could lead to increased risk of fire. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
