The product poses a risk of choking because the eyes of the toy can be easily removed and swallowed by childrenThe product poses a chemical risk because it contains 40% by weight of di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). There is a risk that phthalates may come into contact with the child’s mouth and/or skin. The product does not comply with the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1. According to the REACH Regulation, phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited when the toy or childcare article can be placed in the mouth by children.
