EU Safety Gate · Report-2023-51
Jaguar · F-PACE (X761)
Following a software problem with the powertrain control module (PCM), it is possible that the internal combustion engine will not start at the right time when the vehicle is in motion and operating in electric vehicle (EV) mode only. When the EV system is no longer capable of propelling the vehicle, the vehicle slows down unexpectedly and it is impossible to drive it, thus increasing the risk of an accident. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
