EU Safety Gate · Report-2024-1
Mercedes-Benz · Atego
The required reference torque may not have been applied to the screw connection of the spring clips on the left and right front axle. If the screw connection of the spring clips becomes detached, components could be lost. Moreover, the front axle may become displaced during braking due to the lack of grip. This could result in a strong pull to one side, which may prevent the driver from holding the vehicle in the lane. In this case, the risk of accidents is significantly increased. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
