The cross-sectional area of the wires is not sufficient. In case of a short-circuit, the wires may overheat and this could cause a fire. Moreover, the insulation of the plug is made of flammable material. The cover of the battery compartment can be easily removed and the dimensions of the plug are inadequate, which may leave live parts accessible and cause electric shock. In addition, the single insulated, internal connecting wires are easily accessible through the openings of the lamp housing, which may also cause an electric shock. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
