The product poses a chemical risk because the yellow bear contains up to 5.1 % by weight of bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). The bear also contains 29 % by weight of di-"isobutyl" phthalate (DIBP) . The product poses environmental risk (chemical pollution) due to the presence of 8.3 % short chain chlorinated paraffin (SCCP). According to the REACH Regulation, the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited in toys or childcare articles that can be placed in the mouth by children. The product does not comply with the Commission Regulation 519/2012 on persistent organic pollutants (POP Regulation).
