EU Safety Gate · Report-2013-018
Honda · Pilot, MDX, Legend, Odyssey, Elysion, Step Wagon
A faulty component in the electronic VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) system can cause a brief application of the brakes. If the driver brakes when such a fault occurs, the VSA system may activate the braking assistance function, thus boosting the braking effect. This unexpected and unnecessary braking assistance increases the risk of an accident.
