EU Safety Gate · Report-2014-017
Hometech · Electrical Brewing Pot
During abnormal operation, the thermal fuse fails to operate in time, allowing generation of excessive heat at the plastic base. This can lead to a fire and can leave live wires exposed. In the event that the product is operated beyond a certain time, the pot could overflow when it is lifted from the base. There is consequently a risk that the user may be scalded. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
