The component was incorrectly made from Nitrile material instead of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer [M-class] rubber (EPDM). This has resulted in the material hardening and shrinking. This is leading to hydraulic brake fluid leakage, resulting in decreased braking efficiency and increased risk of road accidents.
