If the treadmill is placed on its side or removed from packaging while on its side, the gas spring beneath the running surface can release inadvertently, causing the feet to kick away from the base. The product has no safety device to avoid inadvertent release of stored energy. The product has inadequate assembly and warning instructions. The product does not comply with the Machinery Directive and the relevant European standard EN 957-1.
