The product poses a chemical risk because the flexible plastic of the translucent tube contains up to 4.4 % by weight of di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), up to 10.2 % by weight of DBP (dibutyl phthalate) and up to 0.18 % by weight of phthalates DINP (di-isononyl phthalate). According to the REACH Regulation the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited in toys or childcare articles that can be placed in the mouth by children.
