EU Safety Gate · Report-2014-031

WAL (Work & Leave) · S3

The products pose a risk of injuries because the impact resistance is not sufficient and therefore the shoes do not adequately protect against crushing. Moreover, the antistatic properties are insufficient and friction on the footwear could create sparks. The products pose a chemical risk due to the presence of Chromium (VI) (measured values up to 17.8 mg/kg). Chromium (VI) is classified as sensitising and may trigger allergic reactions. The products do not comply with the requirements of the Personal Protective Equipment Directive and the relevant European standard EN 20344.
