EU Safety Gate · Report-2017-040

Smallfoot · Natalie

The plastic material of the doll contains di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value up to 18 % by weight). This phthalate may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to the reproductive system. Moreover, a small part comes easily loose from the product (soother from the milk bottle). A small child may put it in the mouth and choke. According to the REACH Regulation the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.
