EU Safety Gate · Report-2016-049
Tec-Take · Türschutzgitter Kunststoff (Safety gate, plastic)
The safety gate can be opened easily due to an inadequate opening mechanism, with the risk of a child falling down the stairs. The gate has protruding corners where the garments of a child could get caught, causing strangulation. The plastic bag of the packaging is too thin and can cover the mouth and/or nose of a child, causing suffocation. Moreover, the material contains lead (measured value 403 mg/kg), Barium (measured value: 1197 mg/kg) and Chromium (measured value: 90 mg/kg).
